Day 09. What were you like as a child?

Fat, shy and quiet.

I remember going with my grandpa to recycle cans on Liberty Avenue. I remember sitting on our glass coffee table and breaking it (probably because i was so fat). I remember I was too scared to go into my cousin’s swimming pool and sitting on the ladder the whole time. I remember catching caterpillars and lightning bugs. I remember learning how to ride without training wheels inside the house. I remember watching Bob Ross the painter on PBS. I remember talking to Steve from Blue’s Clues and thinking that he could really hear me through the TV. I remember having light up reeboks. I remember that play-doh was the best thing on earth. I remember getting in trouble in kindergarten for folding my spelling test into an airplane and Mrs. Ruffino saying “THIS ISN’T A PARK!”. I remember 101 Dalmatians and can probably tell you in detail every single part. I remember not being able to sleep because I could hear my own pulse in my ears. I remember wishing for puppies and a big house with a hot tub (things I still wish for).

I could go on forever about what I remember about being a child but I think that’s enough for today.
